The standards are orchid, veined deeper. The falls are deep grape edged orchid with veining at the hafts. The beards are yellow-orange. It blooms mid-season to late on stems 34 inches tall.

Soil Preference: The most critical growing factor is the moisture level of the soil and soil drainage. Irises do not like wet feet. Irises can be grown in almost any average to rich, sandy loam. Irises must have full sun, excellent drainage, and good air circulation to perform best.
Light Requirements: Irises will produce flowers best when planted in full sun; irises will flower reasonably well given a half day of sun.
Landscape Uses: Irises are invaluable in the spring landscape. Plant them in the border with other iris species, peonies, poppies, painted and shasta daisies, and early blooming daylilies.
